2006 Life Story

Was just doing some reflections, trying to remember what happen in 2006 and what I hope to happen in 2007.

Cant even remember what happen. Think I was still in a hols mood.

February
Again getting bored with my life.

Went walking around funan after work, in search of running lab, heard of this place from LY.
They had put up a poster advertising abt their weekly thursday run. Went home to google, hopefully to find more information. Was led to DR's blog(I think), which led me to sg runners forum. Saw that registration was required, Im usually very lazy to register for things like this. Maybe it was fate or what, I dint mind doing it that day. Am grateful for the fate that day.
Saw that they have CBD run too, decide to join them.

Joined the 1st CBD run on 7th Feb. Was still very apprehensive abt going down to the White house to meet them. Always not comfortable meeting new people, going thru the whole process of saying "hi", having small talk... blah blah blah ..(maybe Im autistic). I managed to tell myself to put all this aside - its like fark la, just go down ! think so much for wat ?!
It was a very small group at that time. The first few people that I met was Kops, Dasher, IMD, Tiwazz, SV, sxuanjing, Meteor, Bala came down after work, joining them for dinner. Ran with Dasher... oh man! He is fast, really Dasher! Am both glad (and not glad) that he talk so much ... :P He talk so much, then I wont need to think of what to say. But at the same time, I was also panting away trying to keep a conversation with him. Nearly died at the last stretch, these people just chiong and disappear. Tiwazz was nice enough to wait for me. But at the same time, felt bad n pressurise to run faster. Haha .. I dont like people to wait for me.

Joined Club Rainbow as the Games committee. Brain-stormed for the theme for this year Camp Sunshine. Begin our weekly Monday meeting @ Funan foodcourt.

Joined Sg runners for their boardgame session at Settlers' cafe near Clarke Quay. Bala, Tiwazz, Wildcat, Phil, TLR, FD n Renoh were there. Brokie n Dasher joined us for makan at the eating place near arab street.

March
Joined my 1st Vertical Marathon which was organise by NTU, held on 12th Mar @ Suntec city. Went with LY, HP, PS, HH. Dint quite enjoy this 1st VM, kind of boring, stuffy.
Spotted a no. of familiar faces (thru photos) from sg runners. Only talked to Tiwazz, Kops and TLR.

Had a 1 wk Planet Fitness pass due to VM. Only attend their spin classes. But enjoy it alot too. Can never forget during my 1st spin class, at the last stretch, all I can think of was chocolate cake. hahaha

Went for Sunrise run. Meeting point is Zouk carpark. Shared a cab with Tiwazz. Bee, Yankee, Daisiki, Phil, Realrunner, Ronnie were there. Sunrise run forum thread was also clocked in with alot of posts within a short time. I remember having so much fun that day. The partners in crime was Daisiki, Bee, Yankee, Taz and me. :P

Went to PS cafe, disapointed with the food and service. They are very "hatus", food taste like microwave food. Only the dessert and ambience was good. Adjourned to HP's house. Feeling bored and there were a few bottles of vodka available. Decide to play "indian poker"! Kena Sabo! Got drunk as a result! puked !

Another first, joined the Ghost run on 18th Mar. Run at Lim Chu Kang. Abit crazy to have done that. Luckily never get harass or step onto the toes of other beings.

Joined the World Harmony Run. My 1st time running 23km over such a long time. Met more sg runners - Sotong, Tekko, Bee, Cokiee, Superboy, Divey, Seal, DO, DR
First time stepping into India Temple, n many other religious places.

April
17th Apr, finished my 6 mths probation. Now must serve 1 mth notice instead of 1 week.

Went for my 1st BG run. Met more sg runners. It rained before the run, thought the run will be cancelled. But the rain did not stop the spirit of sg runners, the turnout was good. Brokie was the one who led the run.

Went for Ger ger/ Boy boy run on 14th Apr - Good Friday. 1st time running inside MR, not especially keen on doing trail running. Kick was not able to join the run as she was down with Flu. Met people like Eunice, Roentgen. Went to Sotong's house to play boardgame, dinner @ geylang Seri, followed by Durian @ Geylang.

Sg runners 1st West-East run led by IMD was held on 23rd Apr.
1st time doing a midnight run. 1st time running 33km! Had lots of fun. But was super duper tired after that. Dint get to sleep and had to go for Club Rainbow Training Camp the following day.

Celebrated PS birthday @ Il lido. A much talk about place. Went there, but nothing special. Expensive yet non fantastic food. Irritating waiter too!

May
Busy with work. Budgeting period. Going for Hols, need to clear work !

Election period for Spore. Walkover for my constituency. Dint attend any rally talks.

Went for Sentosa run on Election Day. 1st time running in Sentosa.

1st Durian session with Sg runners. Had to intersect them along the way when they were at their 2nd stall as I have club rainbow meeting prior to that. We went to 2 more stalls. So in total, that night alone we covered 4 stalls ! OMG!

Went Vietnam with HP n FK. First time travelling with them ! Have tons of fun even thou I have never met FK prior to this trip. We took Budget airline - Tiger Airway. Had the chance to step into the Budget Terminal. Vietnam was not part of my travel destinations. But went along as I was itching for travel ! n a trek was planned!

Injured my archilles tendon. Should be due to the trekking at Vietnam, maybe strain it or wat. Was off running for a while. Feeling frustrated ! Cannot exercise! Surely grow fat!
