Not for the run of course !
Its the food that awaits me in KL .... looking at the list of food places that Junie have planned for us just make me drool ........
Was supposed to have team building activities at Safra Yishun today. However, my boss decide to postpone it at the very last min ! Giving politically correct reasons - the weather had been very bad, if it rained .. then we would need to proceed with the wet-weather programs, will spoil all the fun. Well .. obviously, these were not the real reasons !
Anyway, its good news for me .. it means that I wont need the flying carpet from Yishun to Golden Mile to catch our bus to KL !
So .. today is another "no mood to work" day ! :P
Started the day with a BD celebration for my boss. Had a cake from Awfully Chocolate, dried mee siam from the coffee shop nearby.
Met the gang for lunch at Yogi Hub. I tried the Yam noodle. Very tasty, the soup was rich enough. The apple pie was good too, I feel that the crust seems to be different from the normal ones ? Maybe organic biscuits or flour ? haha
Went back .. tried to work.
Looking forward to 530 pm .. then I can make a dash out of the door.
530 pm ... with the go ahead from Junie ... I make a dash down the lift, across the street. ...
to catch a bus together with Junie and Kick to Golden Mile to meet the rest.
Reached Golden Mile at 6 pm.
We are taking Transtar-First Class Coach ...
My lst time taking such expensive Coach. And my 1st time taking something "First Class".
After we checked in, there was even a waiting room for us before we board the bus.
The First Class coach sits only 16 people, each of us will have a personalised TV where we can either watch movies, listen to music or play games... just like what you get on the plane. The seats are definitely much wider. Kick had some problems with the reclining functions, the driver had to use a hammer to give it some knock before it function properly! Not very impressed !
Shortly after we pass M'sia custom, they start to distribute our dinner. I had some problem with my table, it is slated to one side, told the guy and the ans i got .." U just have to eat holding the box of dinner" ... He dint even bother to see whats wrong with the table !
Leave me super un-impressed !
Isnt this a First Class coach ?
Seats arent that fantastic ? Food arent good ... service ... *shake head*
I dont mind giving Transtar First Class Coach a miss next time.
Dint sleep at all on the coach.
Tired to watch "Must love dogs" .. however, the volume was so soft that I can barely hear the conversations.
In the end, I watch "Firewall" and this other Chinese movie, listened to some MTV.
We reached Pasarakyat Bus Terminal in KL close to midnight, after 6 hrs of bus journey.
The taxi drivers were ready to suck our blood with exorbitant fares ! 12 RM for a short while to Coronade Hotel. Junie was telling us if they charge us by meter, it would cost at most 4 RM.
Checked into the hotel. They had to upgrade us to Deluxe rooms as they were the only ones available. We got 2 rooms on the 15th Floor - 1 rm with double bed, and the other room on 16th floor. The guys took the 16th floor, Junie and Divey, me and kick on the 15th floor.
Shortly after we checked in, we met again to go for supper (or dinner, since the food provided wasnt fantastic!). We shouldnt waste time sleeping and not eating!
We walk to the street stalls near our hotel, looking around before deciding what to eat. Grilled chicken wings from Wong Ah Wah was recommended. But we couldnt find it. Settled for Dim Sum - curry siew mai, godzilla bao, glutinous rice etc. The godzilla bao again was a disappointment ... maybe Baos are not meant to be huge? We drank something call "Ga Chai" .. its like lime juice with plum. Nice nice.
Went back hotel .. and knock out ..
